The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution

During the school year, the Christopher B. Smith Rafael Film Center enriches the Marin community by bringing students, educators and film lovers together for free film screenings and community-driven conversations that feature documentaries seen on PBS’s Independent Lens.  

Recent screenings have included Stanley Nelson’s The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution with former Black Panther Steve McCutcheon, aka Lil’ Masai; In Football We Trust with special guest David Jacobson of the Positive Coaching Alliance.  

These daytime screenings bring hundreds of students and community members into the Smith Rafael Film Center to discuss what matters most, from newsworthy topics, to family and relationships.
